¹⁶ In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and (Matthew 5:16 NIV).

Light is very important in order that we can receive direction or clarity.

Just as we recognize the necessity of light in our everyday lives.  We must realize how important spiritual light is needed if we are walking in darkness.  Spiritual darkness is the humans’ state without a relationship with Christ.

In the gospel of Matthew Jesus explains to his disciples that they have light, and it is important that others see the light.  The only way our light can shine is through: our belief in the resurrected Christ, and following his example.

 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life (John 8:12 NIV).

Many people are searching for light in all the wrong places and in all the wrong people.  It is important that we let our light shine.
