James 1:23-24 NIV ²³ Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror ²⁴ and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.

The daily routine for most people is to look in the mirror.  Some of the reason they look in the mirror is to be presentable when others see them. Many times, there are those who will not just look in the mirror one time but several times, before leaving home.

The scriptures in James suggests that when we do not practice doing what we know is right, we have forgotten who we are in Christ.   Daily we should be groomed with the word of God, so that we can exhibit a changed life which is pleasing to God.  We might even consider taking another look and studying the word of God, to make sure that everything is lined up right.
